The Productive Mental Health Ward Releasing Time to Care Conference 11th December 2009, London

The Productive Mental Health Ward: Releasing Time to Care is a ward based improvement toolkit empowering ward teams to improve quality, safety and efficiency of the care they provide.

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust has been implementing the Productive Mental Health Ward: Releasing Time to Care since November 2008 and has achieved the following success:
  • Increased direct patient care time
  • Increased protected time spent in therapeutic
  • engagement with patients
  • Reduced sickness and absence
  • Reduced patient safety incidents
The Conference is hosted in central London by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and aims to share our experience of implementing the Productive Mental Health Ward toolkit with those starting their own Productive Journeys.
