A. The website lists all registered childcare providers except those whose do not offer services available to the public. We include information on any conditions of registration for registered childcare providers and, where available, their published inspection reports. If you cannot find a report for a provider you are interested in, there are a number of reasons for this: the inspection may have taken place recently and the report is still being processed; the provider is newly registered and has not had its first inspection; the provider is on the Childcare Register and has not been selected as part of the random sample; the type of care the provider offers does not require registration. You can also make sure a provider is registered by asking to see their registration certificate. This should be displayed in the setting.
A. We will inspect settings registered on the Early Years Register at least once within the first three to four years of the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We will inspect a random selection of all those on the Childcare Register and will always inspect if we receive a complaint about the childcare provision that relates to the requirements of registration or any conditions we may have imposed on the registration.
We inspect all childcare providers with little or no notice.
The Ofsted helpline will be able to advise you if the provider you are interested in has been inspected recently: call 08456 404040, or email us at email@example.com
A. Reports are normally sent to the provider within ten to 15 working days from the end of the inspection. They are published on our website 20 working days after the inspection took place. All providers are required by law to give parents and everyone else who asks for one a copy of their inspection report. They may charge some people a fee for doing this.
A. If you are judged Outstanding you will receive a certificate and logo and guidelines for the logos use. These are sent out monthly and so we will aim to include you in the first possible batch that is being sent out next.
