Find out what's in your backyard

Get environmental information for your local area from the Environment Agency's website.

How to use this service

This site allows you to check everything from the quality of the water at your nearest beach, to the location of local landfills. You could also check whether your proposed new home is an area prone to flooding, or what pollutants are escaping from local factories.

To use the service all you need to do is enter a postcode or place name and your local information will be displayed.
