BOOKING SYSTEM UPDATE - 2 September 2009, 15:00hrs
The number of calls to our contact centre is returning to normal levels.
Most customers booking tests by ‘phone have been able to do so successfully, with only a small number experiencing any problems.
Our online booking service is operating normally.
A full service is available from 6am to midnight, seven days a week at direct.gov.uk/drivingtest.
You will receive immediate confirmation of your test booking by email; you will not need to wait for a confirmation letter to be sent to you by post.
