In partnership with DWP and the nine English Regional Offices, SETF are organising a series of events on two of the Public Service Agreements (PSAs) that aim to improve the lives of vulnerable adults in our society:
- The Independence and Well-Being in Later Life PSA [morning session]
- The Socially Excluded Adults PSA [afternoon session]
The sessions will focus on:
- explaining the intentions of the PSAs and purpose of the new indicators;
- setting out the case for prioritising the ageing agenda and social excluded adults;
- explaining how these key priorities can be built into Local Area Agreements; and
- highlighting some key principles for effective delivery.
The event is intended for senior local authority officers, regional partners and elected members with an interest in older people issues, social exclusion, and the four client groups covered by the Socially Excluded Adults PSA. It will be of particular interest to those involved in the negotiation of Local Area Agreements and to officers from:
- Older peoples services
- Adult social services
- Learning disabilities services
- Offender management services
- Care leavers services
- Mental health services
Further information on the Socially Excluded Adults PSA can be found at: PSA Leaflet and Later Life PSA.
