UK energy sector indicators 2007

UK Energy Sector Indicators 2007 is a supplement to the Fourth Annual Report on progress towards the 2003 Energy White Paper goals. It provides a set of detailed indicators to monitor the annual progress towards the policy goals and is structured in to three sections:

  • Key Indicators
  • Supporting Indicators
  • Background Indicators

The 28 Supporting Indicators explain in detail the trends shown by the Key Indicators and the progress to date described in the 2007 Annual Report on the Energy White Paper. The Key and Supporting Indicators are published on this website only and they can be downloaded from this website below.

The Background Indicators and tables are grouped under five main headings, they are designed to show the extent to which secure, diverse and sustainable supplies of energy to UK businesses and consumers, at competitive prices, are ensured. The Background Indicators for 2007 are published on this website only and they can be downloaded from this website below.

The data used to compile the charts contained in UK Energy Sector Indicators 2007, including the Background Indicators, can be accessed from the excel workbooks below. For ease these are split into Key and Supporting Indicators and into the five main sections for the Background Indicators.

The charts and text included in UK Energy Sector Indicators represent a snapshot of the information available as at the time of publication.
