User advisory group

An information leaflet called Sources for Gay and Lesbian History at The National Archives, written by Dr Matt Houlbrook of the user advisory group, is now available in in our online CatalogueLinks to the Catalogue. This leaflet is also available in paper format from the Open Reading Room at Kew. To accompany the leaflet, digitised images of a number of significant relevant documents are also available in DocumentsOnline.

The remit of the user advisory group is:

  • To review and monitor The National Archives' catalogue improvement programme
  • To advise on matters of description and use of language
  • To comment on the usability and the user friendliness of the Catalogue
