Reform of Limited Partnership Law - A consultation document

The Government consulted on proposals to modernise and simplify the law on limited partnerships, in line with recommendations made by the Law Commissions, by means of a Legislative Reform Order under the Legislative and Regulatory Reform Act 2006.

In the light of the responses, the Government concluded that there was broad support for many of the key proposals, but that it could not proceed with the draft Legislative Reform Order in the form envisaged. It is considering how to take the proposals forward and will discuss with consultees.
