Claim Carer's Allowance or report changes online

Please make a note of this important information before claiming Carer’s Allowance online.

1. Please ensure that you fully complete the form by selecting ‘continue’ on each screen, before pressing 'submit'.

An on-screen message will tell you if your form has been successfully submitted and received in the Carer's Allowance Unit.

If you do not see this message, you should enter the service again using the 7 digit transaction number you will be given on starting the form, and continue to complete and submit.

2. When you have completed the claim you will see a list of documents we need you to send to us. This may include your passport.

Please do not send your passport at this stage.

If we need to see it once we have your claim, we will be in touch to let you know.
