A. Reports for inspections of those on the Early Years Register are available on our website. New reports are published on the website every day. To find reports for your area, use the postcode search box in the report section of this site. We inspect a random sample of those registered on the Childcare Register. Where we have carried out inspections we publish a letter on our website. All registered childcarers must also give each parent of a child regularly using their service a copy of their inspection report

A. Contact the Ofsted helpline on 08456 404040, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We have also produced a leaflet and a factsheet:

Read or download the leaflet, 'Concerns and complaints about childminders and childcare providers'
- the factsheet gives further information on our role in investigating concerns about childcare providers. Read or download the factsheet, 'Investigating complaints or concerns about registered childminders and childcare providers'
A. Prospective childminders should contact their local authority. You can get your local number from Childcare Link on 0800 234 6346 or www.childcarelink.gov.uk. You can also email to email@example.com. You may also wish to visit the childcare careers web site, at www.childcarecareers.gov.uk.
A. The website lists all registered childcare providers except those whose do not offer services available to the public. We include information on any conditions of registration for registered childcare providers and, where available, their published inspection reports. If you cannot find a report for a provider you are interested in, there are a number of reasons for this: the inspection may have taken place recently and the report is still being processed; the provider is newly registered and has not had its first inspection; the provider is on the Childcare Register and has not been selected as part of the random sample; the type of care the provider offers does not require registration. You can also make sure a provider is registered by asking to see their registration certificate. This should be displayed in the setting.
A. We will inspect settings registered on the Early Years Register at least once within the first three to four years of the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We will inspect a random selection of all those on the Childcare Register and will always inspect if we receive a complaint about the childcare provision that relates to the requirements of registration or any conditions we may have imposed on the registration.
We inspect all childcare providers with little or no notice.
The Ofsted helpline will be able to advise you if the provider you are interested in has been inspected recently: call 08456 404040, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
A. Reports are normally sent to the provider within ten to 15 working days from the end of the inspection. They are published on our website 20 working days after the inspection took place. All providers are required by law to give parents and everyone else who asks for one a copy of their inspection report. They may charge some people a fee for doing this.
A. If you are judged Outstanding you will receive a certificate and logo and guidelines for the logos use. These are sent out monthly and so we will aim to include you in the first possible batch that is being sent out next.
