Our use of transport has many impacts on our environment. Transport consumes energy, depleting our natural resources. Transport is responsible for the emission of greenhouse gases which contribute to climate change, and air pollutants which impact air quality. Noise from transport also causes disturbance, with aircraft noise being a key contributor. This section presents statistics on all these areas.
