Representing central government across North East England

We represent 11 central government departments across the region and are based in the centre of Newcastle in Citygate.

Swine Flu The Government Office Regional Resilience team, along with the Health Protection Agency, NHS North East and our Local Resilience Forums have been involved in co-ordinating the region’s response to the current swine flu outbreak, the team coordinates and provides daily Situation Reports to Cabinet Office. More information on the outbreak can be found on the Department of Health and the Health Protection Agency websites. There is also a Swine Flu information line 0800 1513513 for advice.

We work to deliver, influence and develop government programmes and initiatives at a regional and local level, by working in partnership with relevant organisations to meet local needs. With your help our site will continue to expand and improve.
