Personality of the Month - Phyll Hardie, Campaigner

Phyll Hardie

What is your job or other main activity that involves cycling?
My principal cycling interest is in exploring the countryside but I also use my bike for utility trips; I have been without a car for around 12 years now, by choice! I am a CTC Right to Ride rep and a committee member (former chairman) of Norwich Cycling Campaign.


Scheme of the Month - Pedal Back the Years, Cornwall

Pedal Back the Years is a long running and successful scheme that encourages people in Cornwall, and visitors too, to be more active through cycling. The key ingredients of Pedal Back rides are that they’re free to access, fun, sociable and run at a leisurely pace with a rest stop and complimentary cuppa too.

Pedal Back use a selection of beautiful, mainly flat off road trails


Bike Week 13th-21st June



Bike Week is the biggest nationwide cycling event in the UK, taking place from 13th – 21st June.  A national celebration of cycling, Bike Week aims to help people get more out of life - by getting on a bike and exploring the local community.
