Stakeholder Engagement
A Stakeholder Advisory Group was set up in 2005
to provide a channel for communication with the wider stakeholder community. The key purpose for the group is:
- To advise on priorities for the work of the programme
- To provide feedback on emerging results and their implications
- To identify new and emerging areas on which the Observatory could usefully focus future work
- To provide a channel for communication with a wider stakeholder community.
A meeting was held on 3 October 2005 which focused on the key aims and objectives, and proposed programme of work to be taken forward. A copy of the discussion papers and minutes can be found below:
The group has since developed into regular engagement through the development of the research programme, specific work areas and reviews of project reports and publications. Attendance by the Observatory Team at seminars and workshops has also helped to promote the work of the programme to a wider audience.
Stakeholder Seminar 19 October 2006
A seminar was held on 19 October 2006 giving stakeholders the opportunity to comment on the work and findings from the first year of the research programme and to discuss and highlight possible work to be taken forward in the future. The seminar also provided an opportunity to comment on the 2006 Annual Review, prior to publication.
A wide range of participants showed a high level of interest in the work of the Observatory and contributed a number of constructive comments that helped shape the future work of the programme. Stakeholders were encouraged to provide regular feedback and comments.
Stakeholder Seminar 29 October 2008
A further seminar took place on 29th October 2008. The event highlighted key Observatory outputs and gave stakeholders an opportunity to comment on the current and future programme of work. A summary note of the key discussion points, including the emerging findings from the afternoon workshop is now available.
