25 November 2008

• Birmingham and Stansted airports have announced that they are now able to receive assistance dogs under article 8 of the non-commercial movement of pet animals (England) Regulation 2004.
• The European Commission has announced that the Republic of Croatia will now issue pet passports, and that more than five pets (with the appropriate documentation) may accompany an owner into the EU, from Croatia.
• Charter Airline Companies Air VB, Longtail Aviation, Woodgate Executive Charter, and Airlink airways have announced new routes into the UK.
• Commercial carrier FlyLAL - Lithuanian Airlines has announced new routes.

• Commercial carrier Continental Airlines have announced new regular and assistance routes.

17 September 2008 -

As from 12th September 2008 XL Airways have suspended operations, and have ceased PETS routes. From 14th September 2008 Centralwings have discontinued operating PETS routes. Please visit our routes pages for the latest information.

9 September 2008 -

As from 28th August 2008 Zoom Airlines suspended operations, and have ceased PETS routes.

Commercial Airlines British Airways World Cargo,  Delta Airline, Thomsonfly, Virgin Atlantic,and XL Airways, have all announced additional services. Further Airlines may now fly pets into London Gatwick unaccompanied.

Charter Airline Air Charter Scotland have commenced operating PETS routes into the UK.

5 August 2008 - XL Airways and Delta Airlines have announced further routes for registered assistance animals. Two new charter airline companies have commenced operating routes into the UK; Execujet Europe, and Airtime Charters.  Furthermore NetJets US, NetJets Transportes Aereos, and EuroJet Aviation have all announced additional routes into the UK.  Servair Private Charter AG are now known as Swiss Private Aviation. 4 July 2008 - Charter Airlines DC Aviation and General Aviation Flying Services have commenced operating PETS routes into the UK, Global Jet Austria, and Global Jet Luxembourg have announced further routes into the UK. Please visit our routes pages for the latest information.

24 June 2008 - Commercial Airline British Airways World Cargo have announced that from 1st July 2008, they will accept unaccompanied pets on flights arriving at London Gatwick  Airport, Monday to Friday, (inclusive) For further information please contact the airline directly.

9 June 2008 -                      

• New EC Regulation published on 4 June which allows the UK to keep its Pet Travel Scheme rules for a further two years until 30 June 2010. See EU regulation on movement of pet animals for further details.

Charter Airline AD Aviation have commenced operating PETS routes into the UK.  Charter Airlines Masterjet , BlueStream,  Solid Air,  AirMedical,  & Bookajet, have all announced additional routes into the UK
