Export of livestock to the Isle of Man

1.         Revised export certification is now available for the export of :

  • Rams over 9 months of age of certain specified breeds to the Isle of Man (1137EHC)
  • Sheep and goats to the Isle of man (1139EHC)
  • Sheep and goats aged under 9 months for breeding to the Isle of Man (3486EHC)
  • Cattle for breeding or production to the Isle of Man (520EHC)

2.         Exporters should be aware that :

  • The bluetongue requirements have been modified to include an additional requirement.
  • The Isle of Man is not content for a waiver during the period starting 60 days after the ‘vector free’ period.
  • The following Maedi-visna option / requirement is no longer available:

in the case of animals consigned from a show or sale I have seen an approval document issued by SAC with respect to the premises.

3.         Should exporters require a specimen copy of the export health certificate and the notes for guidance or other associated documents, they should contact their local Animal Health Office.
