The Prime Minister’s Global Fellowship – final chance to submit applications for 2009

Applications are still open for 18 and 19 year old school and college leavers to take part in the Prime Minister’s Global Fellowship programme for 2009.

The programme enables 100 fellows each year to visit some of the major countries of the new global economy. In summer 2009 this will be China, India and Brazil.

Funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, and managed by the British Council, the programme has been designed to provide an opportunity for young self-starters from all backgrounds to explore the cultures and societies that will increasingly shape our lives in England.

The six-week programme will include: cultural and language immersion; working with peers in a local school or college; and time spent with a global company, investigating how international business works and its social responsibilities impact on local communities.

The closing date is Wednesday 18 February. Follow the link below for more information and an online application.
