2008 deadlines


By December 2008, your firm must be able to demonstrate, through its management behaviours, that it consistently treats customers fairly. Your firm should already have the necessary management information in place to help you do this.

Top five things to do now:

  • Take TCF seriously – small firms can make rapid progress.

  • Focus on achieving the consumer outcomes these will help you understand what we mean by TCF.

  • Be clear about how you are going to meet our 2008 deadline. Your firm must be able to demonstrate, through its management behaviours, that it consistently treats customers fairly.
