The Farm Regulation and Charging Strategy commits the Government to improving the way it regulates and enforces regulation, to reduce bureaucracy and improve farmers’ capacity to help protect the environment, animal health and welfare, food safety and worker safety.

As part of the strategy the 'Government and Industry are now considering together the sharing of responsibilities and costs of animal disease.
