Community support groups and organisations

Find out about local and national support groups that can provide you with help and advice.

National support services

If you are disabled or act as a carer you can find more information about national support groups by visiting the 'Disabled people' and 'Caring for someone' sections on Directgov.

Directgov also provides extensive information about support for the over 50's, including advice on health, pensions and help in the home.

Local services

If you would like more information about services and groups in your area, contact your local council. There are groups to support many people such as carers, students, families and young people.

The following links will let you enter details of where you live and then take you to your local authority website where you can find out more.
