Enhanced Youth Inspection (EYI)

When does it take place?

An enhanced youth inspection (EYI) is carried out where a local authority youth service has not been inspected since 2005. The joint area review is ‘enhanced’ to include coverage of the youth work.

Publication

An enhanced youth inspection results in a number of graded judgments, which are published as part of a report at the end of the youth work inspection process. The reports for enhanced youth inspections that have taken place can be found in the inspection report section of Ofsted’s website.
