Are organisation, leadership and management getting any better?
Year-on-year the percentage of settings judged outstanding in their organisation to promote better outcomes for children has risen steadily in all types of provision except out-of-school schemes and crèches.
The level of good and outstanding leadership and management of early education has risen from 53% in 2005–06 to 69% in 2007–08. It has risen in all types of settings offering early education. The proportion judged outstanding has risen in all types of day-care setting.
