LGPS : GAD FACTORS, REGULATION 31(4) : OTHER EARLY LEAVERS  DEFERRED RETIREMENT BENEFITS AND ELECTIONS FOR EARLY PAYMENTS

 

I am writing to inform you that the Government Actuary’s Department (GAD) have provided us with a final version of factors and guidance for Regulation 31(4) as amended by the Local Government Pension Scheme (Amendment) (No 2) Regulations 2004 SI 2004/3372.  These come into effect on 1st April 2005 and are explained in Mr Town’s Letter of 30 December 2004.

 

Your attention is drawn to paragraph 7 of the attached guidance note dated 21 February 2005, which explains that part of the earlier guidance will still apply in certain circumstances after 1 April 2005.
