  • create, expand and maintain a network of  sustainably managed trees, woods and forests that are resilient to climate change and make a full contribution to protecting water, soil and air resources and protect and enhance biodiversity; 
  • improve the local environment , the quality of people’s lives and their appreciation of trees and woodlands; and,
  • have a healthy woodland and forestry sector with viable businesses actively engaged in sustainable management and processing.
