Carbon Reduction Commitment

You may be affected by a new legally binding climate change and energy saving scheme called the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC). It will cover large business and public sector organisations. It will have a significant impact on reducing UK carbon dioxide emissions from these organisations. You should:

Current highlights

• 16 July 2008 – Schools to be included in the Carbon Reduction Commitment; proposed scheme wide amendments (PDF 40KB) (revised 14 August)
• July 2008 – we are writing to around 10,000 organisations (PDF 130KB) to inform them that they might be included in CRC and invite them to register.
