Consultation on The Private Water Supplies (England) Regulations 2008
The purpose of this consultation is to seek views on draft proposals from Defra to introduce a new regulatory framework for private supplies. The proposed new Regulations will apply to private supplies in England and will replace the Private Water Supplies Regulations 1991, which will be revoked.
Comments received will help to inform the decisions of Defra on the scope and content of the final Regulations, which will be laid before Parliament early next year.
The closing date for this consultation is 3 November 2008.
