Environment Agency Annual conference 2008

With two Secretaries of State and a world renowned climate scientist from NASA, we’ve got one of the strongest speaker line-ups yet for this year’s Environment Agency annual conference – environmental futures 08: creating the climate for change. The conference taks place on 24-25 November at the QE ll Conference Centre in London.

World renowned climate scientist

This year also presents a rare UK opportunity to hear first hand from one of the world’s leading climate scientists. James Hansen, Director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies is a vociferous advocate of deep cuts in greenhouse gas emissions. Hansen is passionate about the need for policy makers and scientists to co-operate on climate change.  His demand for objective and realistic climate scenarios has given him a controversial edge in the US and a worldwide reputation.  This is an opportunity not to be missed.
