VLA confirms bat rabies in a Daubenton’s batThe bat carcase was sent for routine testing after being found dead at premises in Shropshire. Tests confirmed the presence of European Bat Lyssavirus type 2 (EBLV-2), a strain of bat rabies.

BSE Testing Laboratory Approvals BSE rapid test laboratory sites can now be added to an approved list for performing tests on human consumption cattle brainstems.
