Registry of Shipping & Seamen

Welcome to the home page of the Registry of Shipping & Seamen.  Based in Cardiff alongside the Cardiff Marine office the Registry is responsible for the registration of all UK flagged vessels, including Fishing and the Small Ships Register.  Other responsibilities include the management of the Crew Relief Scheme, issue of Discharge Books, revalidation of Certificates of Competency, the Registration of Births & Deaths at Sea and the issue of Campaign Medals
