British Waterways Vice-Chair Appointed
Richard Bowker CBE has been appointed British Waterways’ Vice Chair until 31 August 2010.
Mr Bowker joined British Waterways’ Board in August 2004, and is Group Chief Executive of National Express Group Plc and former Chairman and Chief Executive of the Strategic Rail Authority.
The part-time post attracts remuneration of £16,765 initially. The time commitment is agreed annually with the Chairman of the Board.
British Waterways is a Public Corporation responsible for navigation on 2,200 miles of canals and inland waterways.
