Tackling the current difficulties in the English Under 10m Fishing Sector - Discussion Paper
Fisheries Minister Jonathan Shaw has written to all licence-holders 
(70 KB) following his recent meeting to discuss possible options with a range of inshore fishermen and representatives of Producer Organisations setting out proposed measures for addressing the current difficulties within the Under 10m fleet.

The primary aim of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) is to ensure rational and sustainable exploitation of fish stocks through conservation and management policies. Fish quotas are set to help achieve these objectives. - Fixed quota allocations
