Monitoring movement of herbicide resistant genes from farm-scale evaluation field sites to populations of wild crop relatives

Synopsis
The fields in the farm-scale evaluations have also been used to monitor gene flow from the GM crops.
The objectives of this project were to
- monitor gene flow from the GM crop to non-GM equivalent crops in the vicinity
- monitor gene flow from the GM crop to wild relatives
- monitor the occurrence and persistence of GM volunteers in following crops
- monitor the persistence of GM hybrids with wild relatives if located.
Start and completion dates
The project started in May 2000 and was completed in 2004.
