Northern Ireland coldstore successfully prosecuted

The Food Standards Agency Northern Ireland (FSANI) has welcomed yesterday's conviction of a meat coldstore in County Fermanagh for offences under food hygiene legislation at Magherafelt Magistrates Court.
Morrisons recalls own-brand yoghurt

A number of Morrisons Low Fat Summerfruit Yoghurt film lids have been incorrectly placed on Low Fat Dessert Style Yoghurts, which are otherwise fully and correctly labelled. The company has recalled the mislabelled Low Fat Dessert Style Yoghurts because they contain gluten and egg, which makes them a possible risk for customers with a gluten intolerance or egg allergy.
Asda withdraws frozen beef burgers

Asda has withdrawn its own-brand Frozen 20 Beef Burgers (1.14kg) because the product contains soya, which is not mentioned on the label.
