Research Forms
The Science in Defra (SID) series of forms are detailed below. These forms must be used by all contractors for submitting expressions of interest, full bids and project reports to Defra. Please click on the form title to view/download each form.

2: Expression of Interest |
This form is in PDF format. It is to be used by research contractors as a first stage of competitive tendering to express an interest in applying for research funding against specifications set by Defra. Defra will use this form to draw up tender lists. It will provide basic information on the contractor organisation and research proposals. |

3: Proposal for a Research Project |
This form is in a combined PDF and Word format. It is to be used by research contractors to apply for research funding and respond to tender invitation. This form requires a wide range of information, not all of which may be relevant to every project/organisation. The form is split into sections with clear instructions as to the circumstances under which each section should be completed. |

4: Annual/Interim Project Report |
This form is in Word format. It is to be used by research contractors to report on progress in delivering research projects. |

5: Final Project Report |
This form is in Word format. It is to be used by research contractors to report on final project results and outputs. This will be publishable and provide a consistent format for all research results on the Defra website, to meet FOI/EIR requirements. |

This form is in Word format. It is not used for projects subject to milestone payments. |
