Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund Aims to minimise demand for primary aggregates, promote environmentally friendly extraction and transport, and reduce local effects of aggregate extraction.
Agriculture Development Scheme Scheme is now closed to new applicants

Grants for industry-led measures in England to improve marketing performance and competition.
CAP Reform New Single Payment Scheme replaces ten major CAP payment scheme. See www.defra.gov.uk/farm/capreform/index.htm
Countryside Stewardship Scheme Scheme now closed and being replaced by Environmental Stewardship.

Encouraged farmers and land-managers to enter into 10 year agreements to manage their land in environmentally beneficial ways.
Energy Crops Scheme Grants to establish short-rotation coppice (SRC) or miscanthus; and helps SRC growers set up producer groups.
English Woodland Grant Scheme * Grants to private landowners to encourage the creation of new woodlands and to assist with the management of existing woodlands. Successor to Farm Woodland Premium Scheme and Woodland Grant Scheme.

Higher-Level Stewardship Part of Environmental Stewardship
Hill Farm Allowance Supports beef and sheep producers farming in the English Less Favoured Areas (LFAs).
Land Purchase Grants English Nature grants to voluntary nature conservation organisations to acquire and manage important areas of land.
LEADER+ European Community Initiative to help rural communities improve local quality of life and economic prosperity.
Local Heritage Initiative Grants for local groups to investigate, explain and care for their local landscape, landmarks, traditions and culture.
Organic Entry Level Stewardship Part of Environmental Stewardship
Organic Farming Scheme Scheme now closed and being replaced by Organic Entry Level Stewardship

Encouraged expansion of organic production.
Parish Plans Small grants are available to support local consultation to produce Parish Plans that identify needs and set out how these might be tackled.
Processing and Marketing Grant Scheme now closed to new applicants

Grants for capital investment in processing and marketing agricultural products.
Rural Enterprise Scheme Scheme now closed to new applicants

Supports projects aiming to develop more sustainable, diversified and enterprising rural economies and communities.
Sea fisheries grants Grants to help the fishing industry restructure onto a more sustainable basis.
Sheep and Wildlife Enhancement Scheme Scheme now closed as a result of CAP Reforms.

Vital Villages Scheme now closed
