New £130 million Grassroots Grants programme seeks local funders
Local third
sector funders across the country are today invited by the Community
Development Foundation (CDF) to apply to become a local partner in
delivering the £130million Grassroots Grants programme in their area.

The Cabinet Office has
announced its intention to appoint the Adventure Capital Fund (ACF) to
manage the second phase of the Futurebuilders fund.

The Charity
Commission, the independent regulator for charities in England and Wales,
has published its general guidance for charities on public benefit.
Wanted: Third sector organisations using Social Return on Investment
evaluations
The Office of the Third
Sector is interested in identifying social enterprises or other third
sector organisations that have carried out or are carrying out
evaluations using Social Return on Investment.
Proposals sought for new centre for third sector research
The OTS, the
Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and The Barrow Cadbury Trust
have announced the call for proposals to establish a new independent,
multidisciplinary research centre for the third sector.
Commissioning Our Future – Beacon Scheme Learning Exchange event
The
Improvement and Development Agency's Beacon Scheme are holding a
learning exchange event, Commissioning our Future - Increasing
voluntary and community sector service delivery, on 30 January
2008. Phil Hope, Minister for the Third Sector will speak at the
