Social Exclusion
The Social Exclusion Task Force focuses on the most socially excluded in
society who face multiple and inter-generational problems. These problems
require joined-up solutions across several government departments. Our work
follows five principles:
-
Early intervention
-
Identifying ‘what works’
-
Multi-agency working
-
Personalisation, rights and responsibilities
-
Supporting achievement and managing under-performance
Socially excluded adults are prioritised in the 2007 Comprehensive
Spending Review. A new
Public Service Agreement (PSA) is aimed at reducing social exclusion
amongst the most vulnerable adults.
