Freight
Availability of new sources of data have raised questions about the robustness of previous published estimates, so the provisional Quarter 3 2007 Roads Goods Vehicles Travelling to Mainland Europe update is not being published as previously announced.
We intend to publish the Q3 and Q4 data when Q1 2008 data are released, currently scheduled for 22 May 2008.
We shall also be consulting stakeholders, in due course, about the continued need for in-year estimates for this series.

DfT helps the freight industry to be efficient, resilient, environmentally friendly and safe. In order to formulate and monitor policy it collects and publishes a variety of statistics about the activity of the various freight modes.
