The categories for the first-ever Civil Service Awards have been published in the Whitehall & Westminster World newspaper. Inspired by the Public Servants of the Year Awards, the hope is that they will become a high-profile annual event. Co-sponsored by the Cabinet Office, the National Audit Office and the Office of Government Commerce, the awards will be funded by Whitehall & Westminster World in association with Ernst & Young.
