Freight
DfT helps the freight industry to be efficient, resilient, environmentally friendly and safe. In order to formulate and monitor policy it collects and publishes a variety of statistics about the activity of the various freight modes. This web page provides links to the main published series about each mode, and to published series showing modal freight comparisons. More detailed information about maritime, and air freight activity can be found in the appropriate sections of the Transport Statistics web site.
