Chair Appointments

Introduction

The filling of vacancies for Chairs is undertaken as vacancies arise. Chairs are part time and are paid an honorarium of £15,410 per annum.

Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)
Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)
Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC)

The closing dates to receive applications for these vacancies has now passed. All applications will be acknowledged and put before a duly constituted panel. An announcement of the successful candidates is expected in the New Year.

PREVIOUS APPOINTMENTS

Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils (CCLRC)

Sir Graeme Davies has been re-appointed as Chair of the Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils (CCLRC), for a period of 15 months. A copy of the press notice can be found under related documents.

Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council (PPARC)

Mr Peter Warry has been re-appointed as Chair of the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council (PPARC), for a period of two years. A copy of the press notice can be found under related documents.

Medical Research Council (MRC)

Natural Environment Research Council (NERC)

Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC)
