Welcome to Research Councils UK

Welcome to the new website for Research Councils UK, the strategic partnership of the UK’s eight Research Councils.

This new site aims to give comprehensive and up to date information on the progress of cross-Council activities and to provide a portal into individual Councils support for research, training, knowledge transfer and public engagement. Follow the left hand links to find out more.

It also provides details, via the About the Research Councils menu, on how the Research Councils operate and the role they play in helping to deliver Government’s objectives for science and innovation. We have given particular attention to the Councils’ submissions to consultations and Parliamentary inquiries. Follow the About RCUK menu to find out more.

Research Councils publish study of peer review and launch new consultation
Research Councils UK (RCUK), the strategic partnership of the eight Research Councils, has today published the report of its project to study the efficiency and effectiveness of the peer review process and has launched a consultation on possible options for change.
