Welcome to Wired for Health

Wired for Health is a series of websites developed by the Department of Health and the Department for Education and Skills.

Health information is provided for a range of audiences that relates to the National Curriculum and the National Healthy Schools Programme.

Within this site you will find information for:

  • Teachers - Information and resources linked to the National Curriculum and the National Healthy Schools Programme for teachers, parents, governors and those with a general interest in children and young people's health
  • Local healthy schools programme co-ordinators - Information for those working within local education and health partnerships, including access to the discussion forum, case studies, evidence base, key documents, publications, policy and professional development information
  • Education and health professionals including the community nurse and teacher PSHE CPD programmes - Information for those working in a variety of settings including local education authorities, primary care trusts, statutory and non-statutory agencies
