Gross Domestic Product (GDP) deflators: a user's guide

Internal links

Last updated after ONS’s Quarterly National Accounts First release on 30 June 2006.

Please note that the money GDP figures for 2006-07 onwards are now based on the lower end of the forecast range presented in Budget 2006, rather than on the mid-point. This is to ensure consistency with the public finance projections, which use a deliberately cautious assumption of trend growth that is ¼ percentage point below the neutral assumption.

The next update will follow ONS’ Quarterly National Accounts First release scheduled for the end of September 2006.
