Margaret Beckett has made a statement on Iran following a Foreign Ministers' meeting in Vienna. Mrs Beckett said: 'We urge Iran to take the positive path and to consider seriously our substantive proposals which would bring significant benefits to Iran.'

Margaret Beckett has condemned the Burmese Government's decision to extend the house arrest of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who has been detained by the regime since May 2003, and in total for over 10 years.
