Background:

The Small Firms Loan Guarantee (SFLG) is a joint venture between the Small Business Service (SBS) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and a number of participating lenders.

The lenders administer the eligibility criteria and make all commercial decisions regarding lending.

Changes to SFLG will take effect from 1 December 2005 to reflect the recommendations of the Graham Review.

Full details about the SFLG and other relevant information on finance for SMEs may be found on the Business Link website.
