HURRICANE KATRINA - LORD TRIESMAN INTERVIEW CHANNEL 4 (04/09/05)
In an interview on Channel 4 News, on Sunday 4 September, FCO Minister, Lord Triesman spoke of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina: 'We've got a lot of phone calls that have come in from relatives of people who are concerned about where their sons, daughters are and we don't know for a fact that they're in Louisiana or Mississippi or in any of the disaster areas, but we can't take any chances and we're trying to identify where each and every one of them is. It's a precaution. Many of them will probably turn out not to be there as we found in the Tsunami, but we can't afford to take the risk. We must find out where they are.'
