Public service performance - supporting documents
The table below provides links to the latest versions of the key documents relating to performance published by each department. Details of departments' progress towards their Public Service Agreement (PSA) targets can be found on the public services performance pages on this site.
-
Public Service Agreements (PSAs) set out each department's aim, objectives and key outcome-based targets. They form an integral part of the spending plans set out in Spending Reviews.
-
Technical Notes (TNs) set out how performance against each of the PSA targets will be measured.
-
Progress against PSA targets is reported every spring in Departmental Reports (Dept Rep). Autumn Performance Reports (APRs) provide an update of departments' performance against their PSA targets.
-
Departmental Investment Strategies (DISs) set out each department’s plans to deliver the scale and quality of capital stock needed to underpin its objectives.
-
NEW - Efficiency Technical Notes (ETNs) set out the measures and methodologies that departments are using to assess efficiency gains, as progess towards the efficiency targets agreed as part of the 2004 Spending Review.
In addition to the PSAs and Technical Notes (TNs) agreed in the 2002 Spending Review (SR2002), the table has been updated to include the PSAs and TNs agreed in the 2004 Spending Review (SR2004). A reconciliation table, setting out how the SR2004 PSA targets have evolved from the SR2002 PSA targets, is available here (PDF file, 100Kb).
