WORKING PARENTS

The Government is committed to ensuring that every child has the best start in life and to creating more choice for all parents: helping fathers and mothers better control the balance between work and time spent with children, whilst ensuring that the needs of business are met.

We are currently seeking views on the commitments outlined in the 2004 pre-Budget report – improving the arrangements for parents to take paid leave after the birth of a child and the case for extending the scope of the flexible working law.

Please visit our consultation page for more details.
