Pre-Budget Report

Since May 1997, the Chancellor presents a Budget in the Spring but also presents a Pre-Budget Report in the Autumn which provides a progress report on what has been achieved so far, gives an update on the state of the economy and the Government finances and sets out the direction of Government policy in the run up to the Spring Budget.
